Chuckie Greenwood, born in Massachusetts and raised in New Hampshire, began playing the drums at the age of 5 with instruction from his father Chuck. After hearing Frank Zappa and falling in love with Rock, Jazz, and World Music, Charles realized at an early age that he wanted to pursue music as a career. Shortly after the realization, he began diligently working on honing his craft and started taking drum lessons from John Medeiros Jr. In 2012, he was set to study Performance and Artist Management at Berklee College of Music. This resulted in being mentored by the likes of word class instructors like Marko Djordjevic, Larry Finn, Joe Galeota, Henrique Del Almeida, Yoron Israel, Dave Dicenso, Swiss Chris Flueck, and Joe Travers. Charles currently lives in Boston where he has performed and recorded with some of the city’s top/emerging artists. His constant gigging has included club, concert, and festival appearances, as well as television and radio broadcasts with such artists as: Eddy Dyer, Rachel Alix, Third Stone Odyssey, Shangadang, Alief Hamden, Knightstorm, Sam Morrison, Justin Spicer, Ben Thomas, Samantha Behrman, Cecil Alexander, The Walking Shoe Revival, the Tyler Cheo band, The Bricks, Ecylpse, and many of his own projects. Aside from playing with some great people, Charles teaches private lessons and continues to further himself as a musician and artist.
