There is dynamic drummer on the scene by the name of Demetrius “ Master Dee” Reid. Many consider him one of the best drummers in the industry and some others say the sky holds no limits to his abilities. Demetrius started playing drums at the early age of 2 yrs old. At 6 he developed his unique style that captures the hearts of many while playing for his church family and other gospel groups from Atlanta Ga. His unique style and talent caught the attention of artist around the world that hired him to play in the studio and during live performances.
Demetrius has no boundaries when it comes to playing drums. He has learned to play R&B, Funk, Jazz, Gospel, Beach music and much more. He is the best at what he does when it comes to playing with other musicians and getting them in the groove. Musicians can’t seem to get enough of his playing style. Because he often brings the best out of other musicians, he is sought after here in Atlanta.
Master Dee has impacted the lives of many youth while contributing his time and teaching the art of music. His motto for youth is be the best you can be in anything you do and keep god first. He gives back to the community through the organization called Musical Youth of America. The program allows youth express their emotions through music while enhancing their talent. He also plays annually at Hosea Feed The Hungry. This is a non profit organization that people volunteer to help feed the homeless. He is an active member of Gospel Choice Award Winners, and Best Quartet Group of the year 2014, The Gospel Group called Tiny Foster and The Saints, and has volunteered to bless others three times a year for the last eight years.
Demetrius is energetic and exciting to watch when he is in his groove. Those two things are also part of why he has played in several states and overseas in Japan and Germany. With groups such as:

Live Performances: R&B Group Silk, Keith Sweat, Maxwell, Christopher Williams, Rickey Mckinnie and The Five Blind Boys Of ALabamba, Musical Youth of Atlanta Sam Haygood (Tony Braxton Musical Director and SOS Band), studio work, the stage play “Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places”, Coan Middle School Orchestra, Southside High School graduations and drummer for various Churches: Liberty Full Gospel, Bethel Grove, Mount Olive Baptist Church, Concord Baptist Church, Bible Believers, House of Refuge (studio work), Lynwood Park church of God in Christ (current drummer) and 8 time stellar award winner Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC’s. Demetrius is the assistant drum director for Maynard Jackson high school and he recently had the opportunity to share the stage with the SOS band.
