Reid Chancellor was born in Evansville Indiana to a musical family of four. It wasn’t long before music became a big part of Reid’s life. He became obsessed with the drum set at age 7 after seeing the film That Thing You Do!, a film that follows the life of a rock band in the 60s. After receiving his fist drum set he played for hours on end, soaking in as much information as possible. He took a liking to John Bonham and Keith Moon and dove into his fathers records. He has been playing in bands since the beginning. He played drums for Midwest Hardcore band One Step and has been the live and touring drummer for Sean Little (hip-hop artist IAMSECOND) for the past 8 years. He also played in the band Quin for a year before the band disbanded.
In addition he has been doing studio work and some live shows here and there. In 2015 Chancellor took a position in the City Church band in his hometown of Evansville. He also taught percussion and marching band to Mater Dei High school in Evansville becoming a 5 time state band finalist. In 2014 he also embarked on his first European tour with Sean Little performing 28 dates in Germany, Italy, and Belgium. Since then he has been working and recording solo music releasing Birdie and Pinhead independently on his band camp page. Chancellor also enjoys playing guitar and songwriting, he plays all the instruments on the previously mentioned albums. When he isn’t recording or playing he is enjoying drawing comics for online drum magazine The Drummers Journal as well as spending time with his Fiance and 2 cats.
