Tim Elliott

Tim ElliottTim Elliott has been hooked on drums since 7th grade band class! Highlights include a band with Jeff Scott Soto (SOTO, Journey, Soul Cirkus, Talisman, Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), numerous original rock bands and cover bands. Getting to open for or touring with KIX, Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, Zakk Wylde, Pat Travers, Brother Cane, Vince Neil, Dirty Looks, Firefall, Steve Miller Band, Gary Allan, Jana Kramer, Thompson Square, Steelheart, Uli Jon Roth , Aaron Watson, Eric Paslay, and many more has also been a thrill and an honor! Ten years in Pennsylvania, 1987-1997, brought Tim back to his home state of Colorado, and gigs with various bands have continued his travels. Three years touring with Sean Curtis Band, and currently gigging with Michael Morrow and The Culprits, a Denver CO based original rock band, and Project Foreigner, a Foreigner tribute band.

Tim was awarded Musician of the Year at the 2016 Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards show, an honor he is proud of, and that is connected to his work Tim Elliottestablishing his brainchild, DRUMMING UP HOPE. DRUMMING UP HOPE has provided a means to be involved in as much benefit and charity work as is possible, a pursuit he takes seriously. Raising funds for local homeless shelters, suicide education and prevention causes, and the big one, an annual drumming marathon that raises funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Last year’s inaugural event set an unofficial world record for group drumming, 32 drummers played for 72 hours straight, and the proceeds were donated to St. Jude’s. As CEO of DRUMMING UP HOPE (DUH), Tim hopes to continue gigging as much as possible while using his passion for drumming to make a difference in his community and beyond! DUH’s motto, “Drummers making a difference, one beat at a time“! We raise funds for good causes, promote music education, donate instruments to needy music programs, and foster brotherhood among the drummers of northern Colorado/southern Wyoming, a growing group of more than 100 drummers. Tim resides in Loveland, Colorado.
