Zach Sacco is a drummer currently residing in the Boston area of Massachusetts. Zach is primarily associated as being an original member of the Progressive Metal group Chronologist also based in Boston.
Originally hailing from the Albany area of Upstate NY, Zach began his journey as a musician at the age of 13. After years of playing drums on a makeshift drum kit comprised of magazines and pillows placed on his bed, Zach’s family was finally able to purchase him a drum kit for his 13th Christmas. From there Zach spent most of his time playing in his family’s basement and began taking lessons not long after.
After many years of lessons and playing around the greater Upstate NY area in groups ranging from metal bands to orchestral groups, Zach entered the music program at Schenectady County Community College in Schenectady NY in the fall of 2011. During his time at SCCC, he played in many professional groups from Wind Ensembles to Jazz Quartets all while learning the skills needed to succeed as a modern performer. After graduating from SCCC with an A.S Degree in Orchestral Percussion Performance, he transfered to the storied Berklee College of Music in 2013.
As of 2015, Zach has been building a name for himself in the Boston music scene as the drummer of Chronologist and building his name as a freelance studio musician for hire. He is in his last year of study at Berklee and is planning to graduate to continue his career in May of 2016.
Besides Rich Sticks, Zach Currently Endorses TRX Cymbals.
