Zachary Stone is a 14-year-old drummer/percussionist for the rock-alt-pop band Last Reach. Zach resides in Southern New Hampshire with his parents, 2 cats and 1 snake. When not filling venues with Last Reach, Zachary can be found in his high school’s jazz, concert and marching bands as well as two other local hometown bands. He was selected to perform in the NHMEA Mid-Level Honor Band in 2016. The past 8 years have brought quite a few opportunities for Zach to share the stage with many great musicians at many great venues such as Boston’s Faneuil Hall, Hard Rock Café in Boston, and Merrimack’s Rock’n Ribfest. Zach has been on WMUR’s NH Chronicle during the filming of the first NH Drum Fun event. He has participated in every NH Drum Fun and Rhythm Fun competition for the past 6 years.
On his 12th birthday, Zach was invited to tour the famous Zildjian factory. Zachary has been lucky enough to also have his drum track studio-recorded. Attending 60+ concerts and hanging out backstage has made it possible to meet over 200 famous musicians including Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, Kerry King of Slayer and Brad Whitford of Aerosmith just to name a few. Concerts and sports are his hobbies when not beating congas, djembes or his Sonor and Ludwig kits.
Rich Sticks, crafted in Brentwood, NH are his preferred choice of sticks, mallets and accessories. Music Inspirations include: Jon Fishman, Tony Royster Jr., John Bonham and Buddy Rich.
